1. Outline
Project position; reporting to the Project Director. Required to provide commercial/contractual expert advice and direction to ensure successful project execution and financial close-out.
2. Particular responsibilities
a. Interpretation and analysis of the prime contract requirements and dissemination to the project team of the obligations of the parties and potential risks and opportunities
b. Ensuring contracts with subcontractors and suppliers are commercially and contractually compatible with the prime contract and successful project execution
c. Managing communications with the client, subcontractors and suppliers
d. Ensuring notices and certificates are provided and received in accordance with the requirements of the prime contract, subcontracts and supplier purchase orders
e. Ensuring clear and complete and accurate records are maintained of events adversely impacting project performance
f. Managing financial change control; prime contract, subcontracts and suppliers
g. Preparation of contract amendments
h. Monitoring key performance indicators for adverse trends and potential opportunities and ensuring appropriate actions are being implemented by project team members
i. Preparation, submission and settlement of claims; against the client, subcontractors, suppliers and insurers
j. Review, evaluation and agreement of subcontractor and supplier claims
k. Managing financial closure with the client, subcontractors and suppliers.
l. Development of a warranty management plan and creation of the requisite data and document sets for effective warranty management
m. Managing and mentoring contracts team members responsible for prime contract administration, subcontract management and procurement.

| 9. PURPOSE OF POSITION
Objectives of positionAs per Level 2 Operator plus:· A recognised authority in area (outside, panel) with the ability to train and support others in day-to-day activities.· Optimise process through depth of plant knowledge· Stand-in Senior Operator as requiredKey responsibilities/accountabilitiesAs per Level 2 Operator plus:· Procedures – write new procedures for daily activities or engineering support.· Optimisation – Solve complex problems with sound process understanding. Provides recommended updates to control logic and processing system. Liaise with and direct other panels to optimise / integrate plant. Pro-active interaction with KTC to improve control schemes. Signatory level for control instruction modifications. · Learning and development – Provide on the job training / guidance to less experienced operators. · Internal communications – Informal direction to other panel operators to optimise across panels. · External communications – Represent Operations in hazops, design reviews, etc. · Maintenance interface – Focal point for complex permitry and hot work / CSE / Gas work practices. Focal point for maintenance issues in area of expertise. · Shutdowns – Preparation of shutdown permit hierarchy. Leads shutdowns with Snr Operator signing authority.· Emergency response – Team Leader on an ‘attack team’ in an ER situation under guidance of the Snr Operator.
Evidence of skills and KnowledgeTypically seven years experience at the OGP inclusive of traineeship.A demonstrated ability to work with minimal supervision and a high level of autonomy with a proactive approach in managing tasks being undertaken in their areas along with being able to lead small teams to achieve desired outcomes. Suggests alternative solutions to breakdown barriers and achieve desired outcomes. Competent in multiple outside areas including at least two areas of panel competence. The ability to fulfil the Senior Operator role in his/her absence is essential. Advanced computing skills (word processing, spreadsheets)Advanced oral, written and reporting communication skills.Promotion to this position is by Company Appointment.Reporting RelationshipsReports to KPOx, Shift Controller – Supply Operations - Karratha.

§ 15+ years experience in the offshore marine construction industry - including at least 10 years in project management 5 of which are at project Manager level. Marine fabrication and installation projects preferred.
§ Experience in managing lump sum turnkey projects required covering engineering, procurement, fabrication, installation, hook-up through commissioning of the project.
§ Extensive background in developing work scope, developing execution plans, using project control systems, change management processes, monthly reporting procedures, etc.
§ Prior experience supervising large project teams.
§ Proficient in English, both oral and writing.
§ Willing to work in fabrication/construction conditions.
Responsibilities:
§ Establish a relationship and liasing with the client/customer representative in the administration and coordination of the project.
§ Ensure compliance with contractual requirements and the project is completed within the agreed time frame, in budget, quality, specifications and to customer/client satisfaction.
§ Ensure company and client safety policies and procedures are followed.
§ Prepare weekly and monthly project reports to management.
§ Review and disseminate all project documentation
